The conference provides a platform for national and international experts to share experiences, research and practical approaches to developing curricula that respond to the changing needs of learners, societies and the global economy.
Discussions at the conference are focusing on key areas including ICT and Artificial Intelligence integration, sustainability and global citizenship, interdisciplinary approaches, indigenous knowledge systems, competency-based curriculum, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), climate change, inclusivity and teacher training.
The conference also provides an opportunity for participants to reflect on Uganda’s experience with curriculum reforms and identify approaches for strengthening implementation and improving learning outcomes.
A key focus of the discussions is how education systems can move beyond curriculum design to ensure that reforms translate into meaningful changes in teaching, learning and assessment.
The conference brings together participants from Uganda and other countries, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration in curriculum development.
