NCDC participates in International Day of Education celebrations

On 20th and 21st March, 2024, National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) participated in an exhibition to commemorate the International Day of Education.

The exhibition was organised by the Ministry of Education and Sports, under the theme: ‘Learning for Lasting Peace.’ The event showcased the work of the ministry’s departments and agencies to provide quality education for all Ugandans.

During the opening session, the Minister of State for Primary Education, Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu, thanked NCDC for contributing to human development.

“Thank you, NCDC, for the good work. We can see the fruits of the new lower secondary curriculum here. We appreciate your efforts,” the Minister stated.

Students from several schools showcased innovations derived from their classroom projects that are a critical component in the implementation of the new curriculum.

NCDC exhibited teaching and learning aids; science and technology equipment and online resources that are available for teachers and other stakeholders to support the implementation of the New Lower Secondary Curriculum.
