On 4th September 2024, National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) hosted a team from the Education Policy Review Commission (EPRC), a panel of experts established by Government to develop a new blueprint for the education and sports sector.
The Commission, led by Dr. Kedrace Turyagyenda, its acting Chairperson, interacted with the NCDC Management team, led by the Deputy Director Curriculum Review and Instructional Materials Development, Dr Bernadette K. Nambi.
EPRC is conducting a broad assessment of Uganda’s education system and interacting with key stakeholders to prepare a new macro policy framework for the country’s education.
Dr Nambi shared with the Commission the Centre’s experience in executing her core mandate of developing curricula for pre-primary, primary, secondary and some tertiary levels.
The Commissioners shared feedback from key stakeholders during countrywide consultations across several areas of curriculum development and implementation in Uganda.
