These publications were funded by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
National Curriculum Development Centre with help of Uganda National Examinations Board, as well as NCDC Panel members designed the P6 textbooks adhering to the syllabus.
The exercises in the Learner’s textbook are in line with learning outcomes, competences, content, and the suggested competences for assessment. The exercises enhance the development of the four language skills that is Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing thus enhancing practical learning. The exercises in the textbook also encourage group work, pair work, and individual work. Sample Examination papers developed with a benchmark from UNEB PLE format are provided at the end of every term.
The LACE (LEARNER’S AID TO COMPREHENSION EFFICIENCY) textbook provides a series of exercises which are a continuation from the Learner’s Course book. It can therefore be used for remedial lessons by the learner since answers have been provided.
The Teacher’s Guide is very easy to use because it has lesson plans developed for all the topics stipulated in the P6 English syllabus.
