Research4life is continuing to improve our user authentication responding t=
o increased remote learning and teleworking among our user community.=20
The first step in this improvement is a =E2=80=9Cpersistent login=E2=80=9D =
available 5 October 2020. Persistent Login provides 3 months of recognition=
of a device that is used to connect to Research4Life from an approved IP a=
ddress of one of our institutions. Once a user has successfully logged in f=
rom an approved IP address, the login is available for 3 months and a user =
can reconnect to Research4Life without the need to type the username and pa=
ssword and without the need to be on campus or the institution=E2=80=99s VP=
N or proxy.=20
Users will need to continue to use access from the same device and browser =
on which they first established the Persistent Login when they connected to=
Research4Life from an approved IP address. Once a user clears cookies on t=
hat device/browser, the persistent login is lost, and a user he/she will ha=
ve to re-initiate the Persistent Login from their institution=E2=80=99s IP =
address or alternatively access using the institutional username and passwo=

Research4life is continuing to improve our user authentication responding t=
o increased remote learning and teleworking among our user community.<br>
<br>
The first step in this improvement is a =E2=80=9Cpersistent login=E2=80=9D =
available<strong> 5 October 2020.</strong> Persistent Login provides 3 mont=
hs of recognition of a device that is used to connect to Research4Life from=
an approved IP address of one of our institutions. Once a user has success=
fully logged in from an approved IP address, the login is available for 3 m=
onths and a user can reconnect to Research4Life without the need to type th=
e username and password and without the need to be on campus or the institu=
tion=E2=80=99s VPN or proxy.<br>
<br>
Users will need to continue to use access from the same device and browser =
on which they first established the Persistent Login when they connected to=
Research4Life from an approved IP address. Once a user clears cookies on t=
hat device/browser, the persistent login is lost, and a user he/she will ha=
ve to re-initiate the Persistent Login from their institution=E2=80=99s IP =
address or alternatively access using the institutional username and passwo=
