Stevens B. Kasirye
Kasirye Bukulu Stevens is a Certified Public Accountant (2008) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance (2006) of Makerere University Kampala a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management of Uganda Management Institute (1996) and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics (1992) from Makerere University Kampala.
He has 17 years’ experience as head of Department Finance and Accounting of which, 14 are in the public sector and 3 in the Private sector having worked as Chief Finance Officer of Tororo District Local Government (2001-2006), Regional Operations Manager (2006-2007) and Debtors Manager (2007-2008) of Bayport Financial Services. University Bursar of Kyambogo University (2009-2010), Finance Secretary of National Curriculum Development Centre (2011-To Date).
Through his experience stretching over 24 years, Kasirye boasts of being a Team Player, result oriented and mentor with good communication skills. He has provided leadership and mentorship to a work force ranging from 7-40 staff in different organizations both public sector and public sector. He has carried out research in areas of Budgeting, Auditing, and Public Finance. Mr. Kasirye has been involved in both short term and medium-term consultancies as a lead person in the area of Finance, Project planning and Management.
As a Finance Secretary, Mr. Kasirye is responsible for designing and administering an effective integrated Accounting system which ensures utilization and Accountability of financial resources of the Centre. He also ensures provision of accurate, reliable, relevant and timely financial information to management and the Board for making relevant decisions.
He has proven competency in Public Sector Accounting and Reporting, Financial Management, Budgeting, Cash flow Management and Financial Analysis.
