National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) was pleased to interact with a team of officials from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) in a strategic dialogue aimed at exploring prospective areas of collaboration. The discussions focused on the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning, alongside broader opportunities for digital transformation in Uganda’s education sector.
During one engagement, hosted by URA on 17th March, 2025, NCDC shared its ongoing initiatives in curriculum digitization, e-learning content development, and the integration of ICT in teaching and learning processes. The Centre emphasized the critical role of technology in expanding access to quality education, making learning more interactive, and preparing learners for the demands of a digital economy.
URA, on its part, highlighted its experiences in leveraging digital platforms for taxpayer education, capacity building, and service delivery. The Authority demonstrated how its innovations in ICT have helped increase efficiency, broaden outreach, and foster compliance through simplified and user-friendly systems. These experiences provide valuable lessons that can inform NCDC’s efforts to modernize curriculum delivery and promote digital literacy.

The interaction underscored the mutual benefits of collaboration between government institutions in advancing digital transformation. By pooling expertise and resources, NCDC and URA can jointly explore initiatives such as developing digital learning tools, promoting financial and civic literacy, and creating platforms that bring government services closer to citizens through education.
During an earlier meeting held 28th November, 2024, both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to innovation and national development. The meeting opened new opportunities for building synergies to not only strengthen education delivery but also support the development of a digitally empowered generation ready to contribute to Uganda’s growth and competitiveness in a globalized world.
