NCDC hosts GreenVET4U Project kick-off meeting

On 20th March, 2024, National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) hosted the inaugural meeting of the GreenVET4U Project in Kyambogo, Kampala.

GreenVET4U is a multi-stakeholder partnership whose aim is to build the capacity of Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers and private entities to cooperate in designing and delivering innovative curricula in skills for Green Jobs in Uganda.

The project brings together six partner organizations active in the field of VET from Uganda and the EU member states of Spain, Germany and Italy.

The partners include: INSTITUTO PARA EL FOMENTO DEL DESARROLLO Y LA FO (Infodev) from Spain, NCDC (Uganda), Aspire Education Group GmbH (Germany), Training Service Center (Italy), Great Lakes Safaris Limited (Uganda), and MAKERERE UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL – MUBS (Uganda).

Through the project, the partner organisations will work together to co-create a series of innovative training sessions, supported by digital tools, to improve the skills of Ugandan VET operators to implement the curricula in ‘Skills for Green Jobs.’

The inaugural meeting of the GreenVET4U project held at NCDC offices in Kyambogo, a Kampala suburb, followed by a subsequent meeting at Great Lakes Safaris Limited the next day, and a formal launch of the project at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre.
